Beginning this month, Nissan has started to release the all new electric car, the Nissan LEAF, now available for sale in five states. This all new, battery powered car is rated by the United States government as achieving a combined 99 miles per gallon, the highest fuel economy of any Nissan car yet. Nissan has released the LEAF in December 2010 in five states including Washington, Oregon, California, Tennessee and Arizona. Next month, Nissan plans to release the LEAF in Texas and Hawaii, with other states to follow in the upcoming months in 2011.
